feel. I didn't feel that I had to "dress up"  to feel comfortable. - Craig C

Welcome to First Christian Church

Okay, so if God feels far away to you, ask yourself: Who moved?

I invite you to reflect on that. Maybe there's a thirst in your life that begs for living water. Just possibly, you can experience God's nearness this Sunday with us.

If you introduce yourself to me, we can talk about how to live faithfully TODAY. There's so much more to it than just church-going; we know that.

Sure, we have a beautiful sanctuary where traditional music and preaching begins at 9:00 AM every week. We join in study and fellowship between services, then sometimes we ramp up the amps and guitars for a second service called Wellspring, though that's hit and miss at the moment. We hope to start that up again very soon.

But it's out there that we do the work of the church throughout the week. We live our lives with a passion to connect the message of the gospel to the young and the young at heart, spiritual refugees and victims of all kinds, strangers, sojourners, pilgrims, and guests.

If you visit, expect a warm welcome. If you don't get one, write me and we can work on that together.

You will find directions to our church and service times on this website, and you can find out a little more about the what and why of our life together from the calendar or in the "About Us" section. There's a copy of the most recent newsletter somewhere in News and Events, so keep digging until you find it.

I'm Bill Jacobs, and I'm glad to be pastor of a nearly one hundred year old church that still acts like a teenager sometimes.

There are some wonderful poeple here I think you'd like to meet, and then let's get introduced together to the living Christ. What's next? We are open to new mission horizons as God gives us vision.

Perhaps I will see you worship this Sunday.
