Mesa First is an Open and Affirming congregation of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). This means we are intentional about building a safe space for Lesbian, Gay, Bi-sexual, Transgender, Questioning/Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and others in the spectrum (elsewhere noted as "LGBTQIA+") who are often rejected by the religious and the church. You are seen. You are loved. And you are beloved by God just as you are. We want you to know that we know that. We are working to make more connections with communities that are creating safe space in order to welcome and include you in the love of God. And because our other priorities are Diversity and Social Justice, we are also working to learn more about how we can be inter-sectional in our welcome, inclusion, and belonging.
